Even on low speed this ball comes out flying :)I started a fund raiser online to buy this machine for my little league team. We've been using it for about 4 or 5 weeks now, and for the most part, it's served us well. Allow me to break down performance step by step:QUALITY: For what you pay, you're getting a good deal on this machine, but you need to be aware of its limitations (discussed later).PERFORMANCE: Super easy to operate, unit collapses to fit in your trunk or front seat, assembles in about 1 or 2 minutes, not too heavy (I can carry the motor assembly with one hand, the 3 poles in the other).LIMITATIONS: You definitely want to buy the yellow balls. On the first day, I ruined 4 dozen baseballs by putting them through the machine. The skin get's torn, and you wouldn't believe ho much the balls get distorted; mine are no longer spherical in shape! Like I said, use the yellow balls!ACCURACY: I wouldn't say "pinpoint accuracy" as the description claims, but it's fairly consistent. The ball you use has a lot to do with it as well, and you need to keep the wheel clean.PROBLEMS: The only problem I have seen is that the labels don't stick very well. Ours already fell off and blew away when it was windy. Oh yeah, and the manufacturer didn't include screws for assembling the auto-feeder!PROS: This machine is quite fast, and a lot of fun for players AND parents! Very basic design, minimal moving parts, user friendly.CONCLUSION: At this price, it's the best machine for the money, hands down. Just don't put your baseballs through it, use the yellow balls!!!Good balls.. just don't get hit by 1.. OUCH... the heater machine isn't really strong enough to hold 12. to much weight. It will pull the machine down moving the set up for the batter! We only put 4 balls in at a time.. it works better.We had tried regular baseballs in the machine (it said that it would work fine) but found out that they tended to stick/jam when released. My boys haven't had a problem with these balls at all.I purchased one dozen dimpled Heater baseballs in spring 2012 to use in Heater Pro pitching machine. They have worked fine in the Heater machine, and they also perform well in our Jugs Jr (single wheel) machine. They are not as expensive as the regular Jugs balls, and are basically the same product (no discernible difference in overall durability or in throwing accuracy).
